Connie Ripley Lujan

I love children. I always have and I knew one day I would be a teacher. Then I grew up and discovered the child in myself and in others. My book is about encountering and caring for my child and yours. I couldn't have done it without Maria Montessori's help.

MONTESSORI: Living the Good Life is intended for you who care about children and human values, and who care about peace. I have wanted to share my passion and love of Maria's spirit and the child with others for a long time. In addition to my writing on Montessori theory and the Maria Montessori method, I enjoy writing fiction and have two novels still in process, Stowaway in Antarctica and Evie's Secret.

Over the years I spent time being educated in Washington State at Gonzaga and Seattle Universities, at Spring Valley Montessori School in Federal Way, and at Texas Montessori Institute in Houston. Before retiring and devoting my time to writing and enjoying my family, I was a Director of Religious Education at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Anchorage, Alaska, where I have lived most of my life.

Ted and I enjoy getting away to Hawaii or Mexico when the cold, dark winters arrive. Our children have families here in Alaska, in Washington State, and in Arizona who give us opportunity for further travel.

I'm excited about my book being published. It's available now to be ordered at your favorite bookstores or preferred online retailer. You can also make your purchase by clicking on the Buy Book links found throughout this website. Take time to enjoy sharing your comments about Montessori on the Blog.
